We are located on Main Street in downtown Prattville, Alabama. Turn onto Moncrief Street to find ample parking and entrance into the main building. You will receive a warm and sincere greeting and answers to any questions you may have as to our classes and worship services.
We love singing at the Prattville Church of Christ! We sing praises to our Lord using the wonderful voices God blessed us with and without the use of any instrumental music. (1 Corinthians 14:15; Ephesians 5:18-19; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 2:12). Everyone is always welcome to join in all singing.
We love to communicate with our Father. We offer heart-felt prayers before, during, and after our worship and classes. These prayers praise our Lord for His gracious love and seek further wisdom to live faithful lives. We bring before our Lord special requests for all our members, and guests as requested, as well as situations in our world.
Central to our weekly gathering is the Lord's Supper. Some call this "communion" or the "breaking of bread". Our Lord directed His apostles on the night before His death to remember His sacrifice through the bread and the cup (Matthew 26:26-28). As the church grew, the apostles directed us to observe this remembrance each first day of the week (1 Corinthians 11:29-30). We encourage baptized believers to participate in this with us.
Our speakers share from the God-inspired scriptures to help us learn God's will for our lives. Each lesson is Bible-based and applicable to our lives today. Our preachers are very knowledgeable of God's word and exercise excellent communication skills to help all understand the wonders and joy of God's revealed word.
At the end of the message, the speaker will give an invitation to anyone who needs to make their lives right with the Lord, either through baptism or to share something on their hearts that they would like prayer for.
We are always ready to speak to you about Gods will for your life. This is primarily to ensure your salvation is secured through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (John 14:6; Romans 6:3-5). We also know that we all need encouragement to live faithfully. We invite all to share with us as needed and appropriate either at the conclusion of our services or in private. In doing so, we extend our Lord's love to all.
We take the opportunity to give back to our Lord as we've been blessed financially (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). As a guest, you are not expected, nor pressured, to give. The funds received allow us to extend our Savior's love to our local community and into all the world.
